After 2 years at the University of Hertfordshire performing in 27 plays and winning the ‘Most Promising Actor’ award, she completed an intensive teacher-training course with English director Mac Andrews and graduated with credit. Since the age of 23 Sally has taught and directed in many London drama schools, including the Mountview Theatre School (or Judy Dench Theatre) in London for 3 years, the City Literary Institute, Holborn, Camden University, The Actors’ Institute, and Master Screen Acting (where she was class assistant to award winning film director Terry Gross). As an actress she performed extensively in theatre, film and television, including 4 series for the BBC. She has been teaching in New Zealand for the past five years. She ran her own acting teaching division and performances at the Hampstead Performing Arts in Hampstead London for 2 years, directing showcases for new talent. She has taught courses at Unitec, Excel School of Performing Arts, guest lectured for corporations on ‘Presentation Skills’ and has taught many independent courses here. She worked extensively with two well known casting directors in London casting drama and TVC’s – Carl Proctor and Malcolm Bullivant – and has taken over Central Casting in Auckland and created ‘Studio 111′ in Ponsonby, a casting and acting studio.
